To have the greatest positive impact possible, MICF thoughtfully manages and leverages the pooled funds to benefit programs, services and organizations that create and support a vibrant and healthy Mercer Island.

MICF’s volunteer board is made up of Islanders who are actively involved in local leadership and understand the needs of our nonprofits and community.  Collaborating and connecting individuals and organizations to have greater impact, MICF harnesses the power of community to collectively solve problems.

Our Mission

To benefit and serve the residents of Mercer Island by receiving, investing and distributing funds to support community goals and interests in the areas of social welfare; arts and culture; recreation; health and rehabilitation; environment; education; community development; and other charitable needs.

All Mercer Islanders thrive in a caring, connected, and healthy community.

Our Values

The Mercer Island Community Fund and WeLoveMI COVID-19 Relief Campaign Leadership Team stand together in support of the peaceful protests in support of racial equity.  As we have always valued “community,” we oppose racism and embrace equity, diversity and inclusion.  We are all affected negatively when one part of our community is burdened by racism and violence.  Let us all share in reaching out to those most vulnerable in our community.
