Amy Richter

Treasurer, Finance Committee

Amy has lived in the Mercer Island community for fifteen years and has two sons, both in 8th grade, attending Islander Middle School.  She served as Treasurer for two years for the Island Park PTA and two years as Treasurer for the Mercer Island PTA Council.  In addition to her treasury volunteer work, Amy is serving her first year on the MI PTA Council as VP of Programs, supporting PTA educational programs supporting MISD students.  In addition to her volunteer roles for PTA, Amy has served on the MI Parks and Recreation Commission since 2019.  This new seven member volunteer commission is in place to serve in a policy advisory capacity to the city regarding park and recreation planning.  Amy recently served on the steering committee for the 2019 Mercer Island Tree Lighting and Firehouse Munch where she led volunteer outreach efforts.  Amy has served in various volunteer capacities for her children’s classrooms and sports teams, from team manager and classroom parent to supporting fundraising drives.  Professionally, Amy worked seventeen years at Microsoft in marketing capacity and currently works on contract for Microsoft in various project management roles.
